Updating the Zinaida Serebryakova Website
A preserved announcement from the previous website, useful today as a record of how the Collection first presented its virtual museum, books, and research activity online.

Preserved from the Collection's earlier website. Event dates and practical details refer to the original publication date.
This is not a current product announcement. Its value is historical: it documents how the Collection described the first online museum, the early book programme, and the original four-hall structure of the virtual collection.
The rebuilt website should keep that continuity while giving today's reader clearer routes into the catalogue, family timeline, publications, exhibitions, and research services.
Dear friends, we are pleased to welcome you to the updated website dedicated to the work of the Russian artist Zinaida Evgenyevna Serebryakova. Thanks to this update, you can now visit the virtual museum of Zinaida Serebryakova’s paintings, learn about her biography and the history of the Benois-Lanceray-Serebryakova family, subscribe to news about exhibitions, and buy books about the artist.
The virtual museum consists of four halls: "Main", "Russian", "Paris", and "Morocco".
The collection in the Main Hall includes Zinaida Serebryakova’s best-known works: "Self-Portrait" (1909), "At Breakfast" (1914), "Bleaching Canvas" (1917), and others.
The Russian Hall is devoted to the artist’s early works, those painted before 1924, when Serebryakova departed for Paris.
The Paris Hall includes works created during her time in France, including from her travels in Italy, Britain, Switzerland, and various regions of France.
Morocco is a distinct and important period of Zinaida Serebryakova’s work and deserves special attention and its own hall.
Her travels to Morocco in 1928–29 and 1932, along with her discipline, artistry, and the vitality of her portraits, allow us even today to feel as if we are visiting that long-lost world.
We are also pleased to announce the long-awaited availability of purchasing books about Zinaida Serebryakova directly on our site.
This can be done in the "Books" section.
The books, prepared for publication by the Zinaida Serebryakova Collection, include works never before published.
Delivery is available within Russia and the CIS.
The site will be constantly supplemented and updated; we invite you to subscribe for news on upcoming exhibitions and publications on the site, as well as on our social media pages.
Thank you for your love of art! Sincerely yours, the Zinaida Serebryakova Collection.
